Who is the best speaker / presenter I’ve seen?
Now this is a difficult question (“Who is the best speaker?”) for me to answer, because I have seen all of these people live: Tony Robbins, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Steve Balmer, Larry Ellison, Daniel Pink, and many other authors and amazing presenters over the years.
If fact I often sought them out in order to model the things they did in there presentations that made them successful speakers.>
Personally, the speakers that can get the audience to participate and take action in the presentation have always inspired me.
Those that just entertain are good. Those that inform are ok.
But, those that get you to do something, and another something, and another something that are truly amazing to me.
It is for this reason that I would have to say the best of the best is Tony Robbins – hands down. Being in an audience with 3000 of my new closest friends, having fun, being completely entertained, totally involved in the process was amazing.
Now what was totally unbelievable was the period of time over which he could do this. I will say it is easy to be amazing for 15 minutes to an hour, much more than that and it can be a struggle for even some of the great presenters. In my opinion Tony is the best speaker, because he can keep you engaged and hanging off his every word for 8-12 hours at a time.
I am not the only one that has walked away feeling this way. There is this lady her name is “Oprah”, she went to Tony’s seminar looking to totally debunk him. What ended up happening? Well you should see for yourself – I have included a link at the bottom of the article.
Tony – has unbelievable mastery of communication concepts I share with you. He is congruent – totally believing everything he says. Totally bought into the concept of helping as many people as he can that day, that hour that minute.
He never comes out of that state (Page link: What emotional state did you wake up in today?) not even for a second, you know he loves doing what he is doing, and you feel like he is just doing it for you.
Remember – I said that he is the best because of the action he got his participants to take; well, I was one of those 3000 people on a patch of grass behind the Toronto Convention Centre right beside the CN Tower waking across six feet of hot coals.
I was so pumped up when I was done – I wanted to run back around and do it again! Anybody that can get me to take massive action like that surely gets my vote!!
Until next time, keep Discovering your Natural Abilities.
P.S. I look forward to your questions and comments about the best speaker and getting congruent!!
